A multimedia writer/director/producer with an honours in journalism from Carleton University, Ryan Stephenson Price has a strong focus on interesting people who do interesting things – both real and fictitious.

In addition to his independently-run Stratasfear Productions, Price co-hosted and produced Toronto-based multimedia music series The Indie Machine (2010-2014) for nearly five years, and has held various positions across the production spectrum in print, radio, video, and digital, including three years as art director / production manager of now-defunct commuter newspaper t.o.night (2009-2012), and three years as senior front-end developer with Brunico Communications Ltd. (2013-2016)

Price’s four years of collaboration with Toronto rock band Paint culminated in 2016 with the 80-minute concert film (disPLAY) (2016), following the hour-long black-and-white experimental music film 11:11 (2015) and heist-gone-wrong short Boomerang (2013). His two narrative web series, Canadian Comedy Awards-nominated Gratuitous Behaviour — about a pair of disgruntled bartenders who start a podcast to complain about their terrible customers — and hockey crime drama Unbury The Biscuit — about a washed-up NHL prospect who is strong-armed into running cocaine for an arena-based drug ring — are both streaming now on YouTube.

He is currently developing a series of character-driven short genre films, including: crime drama Misinformed, sci-fi time travel thriller Tempor Tempor, futuristic detective thriller Serialized, and the first installment of his bio-punk sci-fi saga Problem Solving 101.
