……of Stratasfear Productions….Happy Birthday to me…..

…..I don’t exactly feel any older…. :|

Well it’s been a while since I’ve posted an update – clearly I’m not dead……..though I suppose I’m now one step closer to it….

I’ve been busy, though not really on Stratasfear related business. I’ve been working at Exclaim! now for two weeks and I feel like I’m really starting to settle into the position now that I’ve figured out how everything works.

I’ll be heading out later today after I get off work to drop off some resumés – I figure I’ll swing by Owl/Chickadee magazine (a science magazine for kids) when I’m out, since I used to read it as a kid myself…..and because the occasion of my birthday is kind of making me feel nostalgic.

I also redesigned my resumé as an artistic design piece – since in some cases I am applying for journalistic design jobs, so I thought the approach was kinda fitting. I think it’s rather neat: I made it up to look like a bunch of scraps of lined paper that I scrawled my notes onto, complete with doodles in the margins and a spill of ink as though a pen exploded……a little more advanced then the paper-aging with the teabag tactic I’m used to doing in order to make a project look more impressive, but all in all effective.

There’s also the possibility that I might be making a music video for someone who liked what I did with InDesign – hopefully I’ll have more details on this soon.

Other than that…..I hope everyone has a great day……and I hope I do too….
