Last month after my audio producer friend Chris Sampson helped to sort out the issues with my M-Audio box setup for computer recording, I set about laying down a couple synth/drums demos that I’ve been working on over the past few months.
It’s fairly different from earlier Tridia material so I’m not entirely sure WHAT exactly I’m doing with it yet, but I’m really liking the direction it’s going in.
The synth is the same Yamaha PortaSound PSS-680 that I’ve had for years but I’ve only recently come to appreciate it’s super 80s-ness, the tone used in the latest Tridia demo Baryon Wake a little reminiscent of something Masato Nakamura (of J-pop band Dreams Come True) would’ve done on the early Sonic The Hedgehog games.
