To anyone reading this message – I apologize for the web problems as of late.
I discovered the other day that Stratasfear.com was completely non-functioning and has been for at least the past few weeks. How long, who knows for sure – I suppose your guess is as good as mine.
As such, and since I’ve been having problems with the SFP 4.0 Drupal interface since I switched to it (having Frankensteined the installation together in the first place because my old webhost iTrello doesn’t accept some of its required file formats – culminating in two lost blog posts at the beginning of December), I have now found a new webhost and am in the process of redesigning the website for version 5.0 —> the version of which you are currently seeing a pre-pre Alpha release version.
Now don’t get me wrong, it’s looking like it’s going to be a bitch to get all my stuff off the old site…. a problem I’ve run into twice before (on the upgrades from 2.0 – 3.0 and 3.0 – 4.0) since the upgrades were necessary due to failing servers, and its definitely gonna take me a while to get things running smoothly again, but fingers crossed we’ll pull through.
I’m fairly certain nothing vital was on the server save for blog posts, and I’m optimistic that I’ll be able to retrieve those and filter them back into the new WORDPRESS archive here at SFP 5.0
:D
That’s right! You heard correctly. I have been converted to the glory of WORDPRESS – it’s been the framework of Heads Up! ever since it was created in August 09′, but I’m finally now getting the chance to convert SFP to the superior platform.
NOW!!! For the big news…
The Tridia EP is nearly complete – and is the reason why I never noticed the website was down for so long, as I’ve had my head glued to audio tracks for the past few weeks. As of the writing of this post, the bass tracks are down and mastered as are rough cuts of the drums, guitar and vocals – each of which I will be systematically re-recording and mixing over the next few days.
After that it’s just a matter of mixing and mastering and everything should be good to go.
You’ll notice a small banner in the site sidebar currently advertising that tasty auditory treat that you can keep your eyes and ears peeled for, along with a new Tridia mascot that I’m currently working on – he’s unnamed, but I suppose we’ll get to that later.
Anywho…
Here’s hoping everyone’s Christmas/Hanukkah/Kwanzaa/Other religiously-denominational holidays are going smashingly better than mine as I buckle down and try to clean up this ridiculous mess…
