Hey All!

I apologize for the tardiness between updates, but I’m a busy boy and there’s only so much time to dedicate to each project that I’m working on.

First off, check out the Articles and Artwork: Advertisement sections – I just updated them both with the latest content, so there’s plenty new there to scope out. I’m hoping to get the layout section running sometime in the next few days but I’m not sure how feasible that will be due to another great undertaking I’ve got underway….

THE HUD

The HUD, HUDisplay, or Heads Up! as it is affectionately known (or will be known), is the very first Canadian gaming news agency started by myself and YAPMO Productions colleague and fellow journalist David Weisz – there are a plethora of blogs out there, but that’s not really what we’re trying to accomplish. We were originally talking about ideas for a video game themed YouTube series that we could run weekly when Dave proposed we expand the concept into a full gaming news show (ALA: The hybrid mutant offspring of The Daily Show and G4’s Attack Of The Show…..but in Canada). This then expanded to a full news website, which can be found at www.hudisplay.ca

There’s only a little bit of content right now, however our friends over at Gamers Are People Too will be contributing their weekly “Game For Life” web comic to the site – which puts us ahead of the game as no other gaming news site (Canadian or otherwise) has that feature.

We’re also in the process of refining our writing style to be something a little more unique than that found at the big gaming news agencies today – since we ARE indeed professionally trained journalists, and many of the other agencies can’t necessarily say the same for their employees. In the meantime though, while we populate content and start tracking down sources for our first batch of investigative gaming stories, check out what we’ve got so far and drop us a line to let us know what you think! :D
