That’s a question I often find I ask myself….
Growing up in a place like Timmins – which has on occasion reached -50 to -60 degrees Celsius with the wind-chill in my time living here – you find you always crave warm weather….but once it arrives here in the summer, you realize that you don’t have air conditioning, and you come to the conclusion that the winter was much more sensible.
Mainly one insight springs to mind:
If you’re cold you can put more on, but when you’re hot you can’t take off anymore once you get down to your skin….unless you pull an LSD trip like that guy in Hannibal…….*shiver*
So I just landed an internship at Exclaim! magazine – it’s a Canadian monthly magazine-style music publication…..kinda like a newspaper but not…..
Anyways…back to my point…..SCHWEEEEEEET! :D
It’s unpaid, but the main thing right now is working out living arrangements and income in Toronto for the next couple months. I think I might have found somewhere to live, so the next thing is finding a part-time job doing something that probably won’t be journalism related. :(
I’m also in the process of encoding a online-application video for The Rocketboom Institute, a daily technology vlog that also runs the “Know Your Meme” video segments on YouTube and other video services. It should be online in a bit, so be sure to check it out and VOTE FOR ME!!!!
For those who follow my Twitter, you’ll know that I broke my toe for like the umpteenth time. I don’t know how I always manage to bash it on a door frame or something, but it’s beginning to look a lot less toe-like these days…..
I wonder if they have plastic surgery for that??
