Like most good stories, this one has a beginning, a middle, and an end….You’re coming in at about the middle, so the end hasn’t happened yet.

My graduation from Carleton University was last week, so since I was in Ottawa, my friend David proposed that I might as well just hop a bus over to Toronto since I was nearly there already. He suggested that it might make sense to get a feel for the city and maybe apply for a few jobs while I’m down here…..

That said, and his suggestion taking into intense consideration, I’m currently sitting in my friend David’s basement in Thornhill – a part of the Greater Toronto Area just north of what is technically considered Toronto. It’s been a good couple of days so far meeting his friends, hanging out and seeing what Toronto has to offer – if indeed I end up moving here it’s probably good to have some kind of an idea of what to expect.

I’ve been having problem after problem with the website over the past few days – culminating last night with all the content being un-accessible. This is fixed now…..I believe, but what a time for a problem like that to spring up, what with all the job applications and all…. D:

I’m hoping to swing by a few more places tomorrow, but in the meantime I’m trying to finish up a few songs that hit me in a wild attack of inspiration Saturday night – mainly Cause Casinos, the completion of which has been evading me for some time now since I couldn’t come up with a decent verse riff for the life of me…..and suddenly Saturday night I just blurted one out. Odd how these things come about at the most random of occasions…..

The same night I also wrote down the lyrics to a verse for Blue Light Special in the Red Light District, a song I originally wrote about 2 years ago but scrapped as I didn’t really care for the direction it was heading. Needless to say this one is shaping up a little better – though the lyrics had to be haphazardly scrawled down onto a paper plate at this particular location I was at.

I’ll try to outline any new happenings as they come up during my time in Toronto, though in the meantime enjoy the content again now that it’s back online…

I wish I knew what caused that problem in the first place.
